There is a lot of misinformation being sent into our community. I work as a prosecutor, so I think the facts are important. Public safety isn’t just a priority for me, it is my profession. I do support reforming our criminal justice system because everyone deserves to be safe in our community. I do not support defunding the police. I value the hard and important work law enforcement does. Indeed, I recently passed a bill to provide Anoka County with additional funding to hire corrections officers with mental health expertise.
